Fayemi urges South West indigenes to vote for Buhari, says 2019 election is for the liberation of the Yoruba race

2019 election is for the liberation of the Yoruba race FayemiAhead of the 2019 election, Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, has urged the people of South-West to vote massively for President Buhari to reciprocate the concentration of juicy political positions he handed over to people from the region. Fayemi also said that the Yoruba race would be liberated in all ramification in 2019 if the South West come together to vote enmass for President Buhari.Fayemi who took over from Ayo Fayose in October, said this when he received a letter from a group under the aegis of Artisan, Traders and Allied Technicians’ Association, Ekiti chapter, endorsing President Buhari for the 2019 presidential poll, at the state government house in Ado-Ekiti the state capital yesterday November 21st. The letter was submitted to Fayemi for onward delivery to President Buhari by the state President of the association, Mr. Ebenezer Fadipe and members of his executive. While receiving the letter, Governor Fayemi said it will of immense benefit for the South West to vote in President Buhari in for a second term as he has proven through his appointments to be a lover of people from the region. Fayemi reminded the voters about  how the administration of Goodluck Jonathan had concentrated influential  political appointments in a certain zone in the South while the South-west was allegedly neglected under his reign.“Under President Jonathan, we saw how the Secretary to the Governmentof the Federation, the Minister of Finance, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Chief of Staff to the President were concentrated in just two zones in the South while the South-west was abandoned. But when President Buhari came on board, he made a South-west person his vice-president, the Minister of Works, Power and Housing is from this zone, Minister of Health and other juicy positions were also allotted to the region. So, the coming election is for the liberation of the Yoruba race and only Buhari’s presidency could bring about the actualisation of this dream,” he said. The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has said the only way Southwest can reciprocate the good work and gestures of President Muhammadu Buhari in the region is to vote massively for him in the 2019 presidential election. Fayemi said under the present dispensation, the region has fared better, compared to former President Goodluck Jonathan’s era when the southwest suffered abandonment and neglect. Fadipe was accompanied to the governor’s office by members of his executive. Receiving the letter, Fayemi said it will do the southwest a great deal of benefit to vote Buhari for rescuing the region from political obscurity the PDP under Jonathan allegedly caused the zone. “Under President Jonathan, we saw how the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Minister of Finance , Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Chief of Staff to the President were concentrated in just two zones in the south while the southwest was abandoned. “But when President Buhari came on board, he made a Southwest person his Vice President, the Minister of Works , Power and Housing is from this zone, Minister of Health and other juicy positions were also allotted to the region. “So, the coming election is for the liberation of the Yoruba race and only Buhari’s presidency could bring about the actualization of this dream”, he said. Of special interest to us is your diversification programme, which has revamped the solid mineral and agriculture sectors and rescued our economy from the monolithic structure of full dependence on oil and blocked all leakages leading to humongous pilfering of national wealth by few cabals . “We praise Mr President for ordering the extension of the proposed Lagos- Kano rail project plan to Ekiti out of the love he has for the people of this state. We know that this will help in no small measure in boosting the economy of the state when completed. “Added to the foregoing was the introduction of N-Power programme for the unemployed youths, where over 11,000 Ekiti graduates have benefited, transformation of the nation’s rail and air transportation sector, aggressive road construction, especially in the South West, School Feeding scheme, which will soon commence in Ekiti State and will shore up school enrollment in our dear state, and construction of Federal Secretariat and Low cost housing estate in the state for affordable houses under the National Housing Scheme. “We sincerely appreciate the President for his immense supports for Dr. Kayode Fayemi . Man 'split' child̢۪s head open with phone for guessing homework question

A man broke a 6-year-old boy's head with his phone because the boy was guessing the answer to his homework.Clement Watkins, 44, attacked the child while attempting to help him complete his homework on November 3 in Sunrise, Florida. He is said to have become enraged when the boy took a guess at one of the answers rather than work it out. He then took his phone and slammed it down on the boy's head, splitting it open. The assault left the boy bleeding and Watkins didn't take the boy to a doctor for treatment. When questioned by officers, Watkins claimed that he tossed the phone up three flights of stairs and that it had struck the child after he failed to catch it. But the boy told officers that he was hit by the man while attempting his home work.Watkins has been charged with child abuse. Police have not released details of his relationship to his alleged victim.

Cyclist with knife in his head walks into hospital bleeding after being stabbed during attempted robbery

A cyclist with a knife lodged deep into his head walked into a hospital and asked "do you have a doctor free?Shaun, 34, was stabbed through the head with a knife during an attempted robbery. He rode to the hospital on his bicycle immediately after the attack with the knife stuck to him. Receptionists were shocked to see a blood-soaked man in front of them in a room full of patients. He had been cycling to work in Strand near Cape Town, South Africa, when he was attacked by two men, one of whom stabbed him in the head as they tried to grab his bike. But Shaun fought back and managed to beat them both off. He then got back on his bike and cycled to the nearest hospital with the knife sticking out of the side of his skull. The local GP Dr Brendan Venter, 48, said:One of our female doctors was on duty and she was called to a patient with a knife wound. To say it was dramatic to see him with a knife sticking out of the side of his head was an understatement but he was very calm and lucid although bleeding a lot.He asked very politely if we had a doctor free to see him.The doctor decided that rather than wait for an ambulance she would drive him to hospital in her car herself and he asked if it was OK to leave his bike with us.The patient was very lucky in that although the knife was plunged into his skull it bent on impact with the bone and the blade went down his face outside the skull. He was very very lucky that the blade hit him in the wrong spot to kill him.He fought for his bike back and rode to us as he knew where we were and we are his GP and when he got here he just walked in and calmly asked for help. This is not something that happens every day and it seems it is a violent gang who have struck viciously a few times in the last few weeks and they will be caught. It was not even an expensive bike and is one he cycles on to and from work each day. Why they used the level of violence they did is just beyond me.  Shaun was transferred into the Tygerberg Hospital nearby on Monday afternoon and underwent emergency surgery and a spokesman confirmed he was "stable".The South African Police Service confirmed they are investigating the attack.

Nigerian woman gushes about getting married to a man she used to make fun of on Facebook, shares their love story(photos)

Nigerian couple, Anita and Asuquo are getting maried this week, starting with a traditional wedding in Akwa Ibom today.Taking to Facebook , Anita narrated how she used to make fun of Asuquo over his political views, aspiration  and disposition. In fact, she never liked him and one time went into his inbox to tell him that he is a complete joke  after she spotted his campaign posters. Read below: He was my friend on Facebook but we never chatted, even though I saw some of his posts, I took no notice. All these political people, nki dogho do interested.I never liked him (nki bata bad anye)I remember making fun of him with a friend once...One day I saw a poster of him, he was contesting for a position; I felt it was a complete joke because I knew he wouldn't win at that time. So I Went to his inbox to tell him bluntly what I felt about him and his poster. That was the first time we chatted. He asked for my number, I RELUCTANTLY gave him my "business number." I prayed he wouldn't call. That night, oga sent a love text, I rolled my eyes in contempt (mme ani do ayem). In my mind he wasn't up to the standard I dated or had in mind to date, I mean, I was even quiting a relationship I called 'standard'.I didnt know God was in a corner laughing.God's ways clearly differs from man's ways!Thereafter the baba called and I just knew I had entered one chance!I finally met him on my sister's wedding day and he WILLINGLY paid for all my pictures, he stayed with me till the very end. I was amazed at his kindness... I had found a diamond in the rough.Overtime, I have learnt not to judge a book by its cover.I have learnt what it means to love and be loved unconditionally.I have learnt about sacrifice, forgiveness and hope.I have learnt what it means to be courageous and determined against all odds. We've been termed an unlikely pair with little connecting interests but we've been through the hurdles of a relationship even though we were a thousand miles apart. We have trusted and believed in God and each other.God has blessed me and I am thankful. One year and 3 months later we will be saying 'I do' and spending a lifetime together.I'm saying "I do" to my friend, cheer Master and partner in everi everi!!!!Dear friends share in our joy, be happy for us, pray for us.It's today 22nd and 24th of November.# Kimani2018 # Abasi_Ikpong_Abene_OwoMore photos below... The post Nigerian woman gushes about getting married to a man she used to make fun of on Facebook, shares their love story(photos)

2019: COSON rejects President Buhari and Atiku Abubakar's party manifestos

2019: COSON rejects President Buhari and Atiku Abubakar's party manifestosThe Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has rejected the presidential manifestos made public by the presidential candidates of both the All Progressive Congress, President Buhari and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. COSON said that after reading both the #NextLevelNG manifesto of the APC and #TheAtikuPlan manifesto of the PDP, it is shocked that none of the candidates appears to have a plan to grow or develop the immense talent that exist in the Nigerian creative industry such as music, movies, theatre, fashion, content etc an area in which the Nigerian nation has significant comparative advantage and the youth have tremendous flair for. COSON has said that the lack of strong policy positions in this area is evidence of the disconnect between the leadership and the followership in Nigeria. This is not withstanding the significant contribution said to have been made by the Nigerian creative industry when the Nigerian economy was rebased a few years ago under the Jonathan administration. COSON has announced that the organization is inviting serious politicians to the COSON Arena to come and educate stakeholders in the creative industry on the concrete plans that they have to deploy the assets that the country has in this creative direction. It is the interaction of the industry with the politicians that will determine whom the thousands of members of COSON will endorse, support and campaign for and recommend to their fans to vote for. Speaking on the decision, COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji said, “we are no longer going to stand on the sidelines. This is the era of the knowledge and creative economy and we will do whatever is necessary to make sure that our country is not just an onlooker in this new world but a key partaker and serious player, starting from 2019. We mean business”The post 2019: COSON rejects President Buhari and Atiku Abubakar's party manifestos.
