Unveiling the four variants of the milk product at separate events in

skimmed milk; and Valio skimmed milk.” He explained that Valio Milk is a
product for the entire family – from age one and above.” He noted that
it is good for pregnant women as it will help them to breast feed and
live a healthy live after delivery. According to Medical research,
lactose is a natural carbohydrate in milk which is also called
milk-sugar. Lactose intolerance is a condition in which unabsorbed
lactose causes digestive problems, such as diarrhoea, flatulence and
bloating, with approximately 65 percent of the human population having a
reduced ability to digest lactose after infancy. The research report
further explained that lactose intolerance in adulthood is most
prevalent in people of East Asian descent, affecting more than 90
percent of adults in some of these communities, and is also very common
in people of West African, Arab, Jewish, Greek, and Italian descent. Dr.
Amos said that there isn’t a cure for lactose intolerance and no known
way to make the body produce more lactase. “But it can be managed by
limiting consumption of dairy products, eating lactose-reduced food such
as Valio milk,” he advised. Valio powdered milk is exclusively

Thursday December 20th, popular police officer, Dolapo Badmus led her
colleagues to reward motorists with up-to-date car particulars in
Lagos. Badmus who champions the course for a better image for the
Nigerian police, handed Christmas gifts to road users with

Azuike, a 17-year-old who recently gained admission into a private
university in Enugu state, has been declared missing. Punch reports
that Chiedozie went missing on the day he was to resume in the
school. The distraught mum of the missing undergraduate, Maureen Azuike,
says she believes that her son was hypnotised because strange things
had been happening around him before his disapperance. She said
Chiedozie left her house on Monday with the intention of going to school
to resume. She however returned home and found his phone, the money she
gave him and also his school documents at home. When she called the
school to find out if he was there, she was informed he was not in
school.“After paying the necessary fees, I begged his former lesson
teacher to help me take him to the school since I was busy. The teacher
had previously taken him to the school for registration on two occasions
and December 4 was when he was supposed to resume in the university
finally. I had told the teacher that he would help us to take him to the
school and he said there was no problem.“On Monday night when I got
back from work, I told Chiedozie to get his things ready that he would
be going to school the next morning with his teacher. He asked me the
time the teacher would be coming and I told him to get ready by 7am.“He
had been at home all this while and he usually slept all day and watched
TV at night; so, that night, I discovered that he was not sleeping as
usual and I told him to go and sleep because of the journey he would
embark on in the morning.”When I wanted to do a change of course for
him, he said he had lost his SIM card, so I gave him my second SIM so
that he could put it in a phone that had been at home all this while.
That morning, I gave him the SIM and the sum of N10,000 to spend for the
week; I also gave him extra N15,000 wrapped in a paper to give to the
teacher so that he would use it to buy provisions for him when they get
to Enugu since I didn’t have the time to buy them for him.“Around
7.30am, I left the house and I told him to wait for his teacher; his
other siblings were also at home that day. At about 9.20am, the teacher
called me that he was in our house waiting for my son and that his
siblings told him that Chiedozie had gone out with his bag. I was
surprised because I told him to wait for the teacher; so, the teacher
suggested that he would go and check the two parks that they use
whenever they travelled together. One is the Peace Park and the second
one is the ITC. He went to the two parks and called me that he did not
see him.”Panicking, she called the school and was told he had not
reported. When she got home, she found the money she gave to him and his
phone with all his call logs deleted.“The next day, I called the school
again and they said they had not seen him, so I went to the police
station and the fire service station in Owerri and the person I met at
the police station just took my statement and said the officer who would
handle the case would call me in the morning. A woman called me on
Thursday morning and I went to the station to see her and I gave her his
passport photograph and wrote a statement on what happened.The next
day, I was asked to bring N15,000 so as to enable them send signals to
all the police stations in the state. I noticed that someone had used a
sharp object to tear my children’s window a few weeks before Chiedozie
went missing and the children alerted me to it. I believed he was
manipulated out of the house even though I used to quarrel with him if
he did something wrong. He didn’t have any friend, but two months ago,
he told me that he closed his Facebook account, and I asked him why, but
he said nothing, but I think some people were disturbing him there. I
think he was manipulated out of the house because of the recent
occurrence in my house of people flashing light into my room and my
children’s room net being torn with a sharp object.”The matter has since
been reported to the police.

Defense Secretary, James Mattis announced on Thursday that he would
resign at the end of February, sending a letter to President Trump
saying he deserved a secretary "whose views are better aligned with
yours." The announcement came a day after the White House said the
U.S. would be withdrawing its troops from Syria, as well as reports it
was also considering a drawdown in Afghanistan. Both moves have been met
with opposition by Pentagon officials and members of the foreign policy
establishment. In a striking resignation letter to Trump, Mattis
signaled his concern with the way Trump treated allies in NATO as well
as rivals such as China and Russia. He wrote that his “core belief” is
that U.S. strength is “inextricably linked with the strength of our
unique and comprehensive system of alliances and partnerships.My views
on treating allies with respect and also being clear-eyed about both
malign actors and strategic competitors are strongly held and informed
by over four decades of immersion in these issues. We must do everything
possible to advance an international order that is most conducive to
our security, prosperity and values, and we are strengthened in this
effort by the solidarity of our alliances.Because you have a right to
have a Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned with yours on
these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down
from my position," Mattis wrote. The letter did not mention Trump and
did not include statements typically found in resignation letters about
it having been an honor to serve the president. It was addressed "Dear
Mr. President," and concluded with a line about how it had been an honor
to serve the nation and "our men and women in uniform."

rapper, Young Jeezy’s 22-year-old son Jadarius was reportedly slashed
in the face during an altercation that allegedly left another man
dead.According to TMZ, Jadarius was involved in an incident Sunday
morning in Georgia that ended with gunfire. The Gossip site reported
that Officers responded to shots fired call, and when they arrived they
found a 37-year-old man had been shot. He later died at the
hospital Police confirmed that Jeezy's son sustained a “possible knife
wound to the face” and was treated at the scene, but it’s unclear what
occurred prior to the altercation between the two. Drew Findling, the
attorney for Jeezy’s son, told TMZ “We are grateful to law enforcement
for releasing Jadarius after their preliminary investigation. He
continues to receive medical treatment for the injury he endured during
the incident.” Another source added that Jadarius was acting in
self-defense during the altercation. Police are now investigating two
burglaries that occurred nearby around the same time as the shooting
possibly involving the man who was killed.

Hunsu, an 85-year-old herbalist has been arrested by the Zone 2 Police
Command, Onikan, Lagos State, in possession of fresh human heart. The
suspect was said to have been arrested in Abeokuta, Ogun State and the
police alleged that the old man specialized in using human parts for
money making rituals. Hunsu, however, claimed that the hearts were given
to him by one Abiodun, who had earlier consulted him for money
ritual.His words: “Initially, I was consulted by Abiodun. He wanted me
to prepare money charms making for him. When I told him what was
required for the ritual, he promised to get them. I was surprised when I
saw him with fresh human heart. When Abiodun eventually brought the
heart, I asked him where he got it. He said that he removed it from a
thief that was killed at Ijoko area of Ogun State.Immediately he dropped
the heart, he left and promised to come back. That was how I took the
heart and preserved it with dry gin and chemical under my shrine,
pending when the owner will come back. I don’t know Abiodun or where he
lives. He told me that he came all the way from Kwara State.”According
to police, there had been reports that two people had died in the
herbalist’s shrine. A police source added: “When we asked him, he
claimed those two people died while receiving treatment. He said that he
buried them in his shrine, rather than release them to their families.
The following day, we went with a search warrant. It was during the
search of the shrine that we discovered the heart kept in a plastic and
buried in the shrine. We understand the heart had been with the
herbalist for two weeks, but there was no sign of decomposing.
The
Independent National Electoral Commission has raised alarm that the
ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities would affect
its preparations for the 2019 elections. On November 5, 2018, ASUU
began an indefinite strike action over the failure of the Federal
Government to implement three areas in the Memorandum of Action it
signed with the union on September 14, 2017. On Thursday, a National
Commissioner for INEC and Chairman of its Information and other
Education Committee, Festus Okoye, expressed concerns about the effect
of the ASUU strike on the 2019 elections during the opening of a
one-day seminar on media gender sensitive reporting. The commission said
that it would deploy over one million ad hoc staff made up of lecturers
in federal tertiary institutions, members of the National Youth Service
Corps and students of federal tertiary institutions in the elections.
The categories of ad hoc staff to be used during next year’s elections
would serve as Returning Officers, Collation Officers, Supervisory
Presiding Officers, and Assistant Presiding Officers. But Okoye
expressed fear that the elections could be impacted negatively if the
strike was not urgently called off. He said, “It is next to
impossibility for members of the NYSC to provide all the ad hoc staff
needs and requirements of the commission, and over 70 per cent of the ad
hoc staff requirement in some states of the federation are drawn from
students of federal tertiary institutions. Hence, the lingering strike
by ASUU will no doubt have serious impact on the preparations for the
conduct of the 2019 elections. We therefore call on ASUU and the Federal
Government of Nigeria to quickly and genuinely resolve the lingering
impasse that has led to uncertainty in the education sector.The national
interest, the interest of our democracy and the reputation of Nigeria
demand the immediate resolution of the issues that led to the strike and
we so urge.It is important that students in federal tertiary
institutions should and must be in school at least a month before the
February 16 Presidential and National Assembly elections. They are a
critical resource and their absence will have adverse effects on the ad
hoc requirements of INEC.

The
International Police have issued an arrest warrant for former Nigerian
Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke following a request by the
Federal Government to the agency. According to reports, the necessary
charges had been filed and attached to the extradition request by the
office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and by this request,
all Interpol member countries were obliged to arrest the former minister
anywhere she is seen on their territories. Madueke has been in
London, United Kingdom for over three years. Attached to the extradition
request was the November 4, 2018 order for her arrest by Justice
Valentine Ashi of the FCT High Court. The court had directed the
Inspector-General of Police; the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission and the Director-General of the State Security Service and
all heads of other agencies to apprehend the ex-petroleum minister. The
judge further directed that the order which was signed by the court
registrar, E. Balami, should be attached to a warrant for execution on
Madueke.
Operatives
of the Inspector General of Police (IG) Intelligence Response Team
(IRT) have arrested a notorious Boko Haram Commander, Abdulmalik
Umar, at a nurse's home where he was receiving treatment for a bullet
wound in Lagos yesterday December 20th. According to the police, the
suspect masterminded the explosions at Nyanya and Kuje in Abuja in 2015,
as well as several bank robberies in Ondo, Edo and other southern
states. He fled to Abuja three weeks ago when some of his gang members
were apprehended. A police source who confirmed the arrest, disclosed
that the nurse, who is said to be Umar’s sister, and her husband were
also arrested for aiding and abetting criminality.“He was the one who
brought all the bombs they used during the Nyanya and Kuje attacks in
2015. We have arrrsted some of his members who are in court now. They
were the ones who gave us his details and since then we have been
looking for him. He has one eye and is responsible for over 200
killings. We arrested four of his gang members three weeks ago in Abuja
and recovered four AK47 rifles which they took from the policemen they
killed at Gwagwalada. He escaped at that operation with gun wounds and
fled to Lagos. We have been on his trail since then. He went to his
sister’s house in Mowe to hide. His sister was treating him of the
bullet wounds. We have arrested her and her husband too because they
are accomplices. He was the Grand Commander of the attack and rescue
operations of the Prison in Niger State early this year where he lost
one of his eyes during the operation while over 100 prisoners escaped.”

is true that he was arrested in Lagos. He fled Abuja with gunshot

Nigerian Navy has issued an official statement to address some issues
surruonding the death of former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief
Marshal Alex Badeh. According to the Navy, the driver who was wounded in
the attack is alive and recuperating as investigation into the incident
is substantially progressing. The statement reads, 'the Nigerian Air
Force (NAF) has noted, with dismay, some erroneous reports and comments
in the media regarding the unfortunate incident that led to the death of
former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, on
18 December 2018. Some of these reports erroneously state that the
driver of the late former CDS, who was also shot during the incident, is
dead. Other reports allege that adequate security was not provided for
the deceased Air Chief Marshal'. The NAF wishes to state categorically
that nothing could be further from the truth. Firstly, all are please
requested to note that the driver is alive and recuperating extremely
well at one of our NAF Hospitals. Secondly, Air Chief Marshal Badeh has
always been provided with the full compliment of personal staff and
security personnel commensurate with his status as a former Chief of the
Air Staff (CAS), CDS and a 4-star general in the Armed Forces of
Nigeria.As mentioned by the CAS, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, on 19
December 2018, the NAF is working closely with other relevant security
agencies to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of the
former CDS with a view to ensuring that the perpetrators of the heinous
act are brought to justice. Substantial progress has already been made
in the ongoing investigation and details would be communicated at the
appropriate time.While appreciating the overwhelming show of support
received from well-meaning Nigerians during this trying time, the NAF
wishes to request that the spreading of misinformation about the
incident should stop forthwith as this could have adverse effects on the

Scott has revealed he is planning a 'fire' proposal to the mother of
his child, Kylie Jenner, who he says is the one for him.The rapper
revealed this in an interview with Rolling Stone, where he opened up
about his relationship with the Makeup mogul and their daughter Stormi
Webster.
He
said: 'It got to a point where I was like, 'I need [Kylie] with me to
operate. She's that one'We'll get married soon. I just gotta sturdy up —
I gotta propose in a fire way,' the 26-year-old rapper tells the
magazineHe also disclosed in the interview that they conceived their
daughter Stormi after just three weeks of dating. 'We felt like, 'This
is something special.' And kids are something we kind of talked about
when we were getting busy.'
According
to him, the couple fell quickly in love after meeting at the Coachella
festival in April 2017.'Maybe, like, the first week, you don't know if
it's real or a fling. Then the second week you're like, 'Whoa, I'm still
talking to her, she's responding, I'm responding. We ain't run out of a
thing to say.' And it got to a point where I was like, 'I need her with
me to operate. She's that one.'' Travis also revealed that his daughter
Stormi is banned from watching television, despite her mother's rise to
fame on reality television.
The
Kaduna State Nutrition Officer, Hajiya Hauwa Usman has said that no
fewer than 132 children have died of severe acute malnutrition out of
the 12,858 hospitalised between January and October 2018 in the state.
Usman spoke while giving an update on the nutrition situation in the
state at a two-day meeting in Kaduna, also said that 10,604 out of the
12,858 have been cured. The meeting was organised by Save the Children
International (SCI) to support Kaduna State Chapter of the Civil Society
Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) to develop two-year Nutrition
Advocacy Strategy. She added that 187 others who have not recovered
were undergoing treatment. “Currently, 11.7 per cent of children
under-five years are wasted suffering from severe acute malnutrition,
while 47 per cent are stunted (too short for their age),” she said and
attributed the high incidence of malnutrition in the state to poor
maternal, infant and young child feeding practices which has remained
unsatisfactory. “The Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey, 2017, releveled
that the rate of timely breastfeeding initiation is 28.9 per cent,
while only 19,7 per cent under-five children were exclusively breastfed.
Similarly, only 10 children aged six to 23 months were adequately and
appropriately fed,” she said.
