Presidency: Nobody Can Stop Me From Contesting In 2023 – Okorocha

Okorocha.jpeg
The governor described himself as the rallying point for all Ndigbo and the only one who can bridge unity, understanding and togetherness in order to realize Igbo presidency in 2023.
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that his mind is fixed on becoming the first elected civilian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.
The governor made the remark when he hosted members of the Orlu Zone Congress of Journalists (OZCOJ) in his office.
He said that all the campaigns of calumny against him was because his detractors have realised that he is the most eligible and most detribalised Igbo man.
The governor described himself as the rallying point for all Ndigbo and the only one who can bridge unity, understanding and togetherness in order to realize Igbo presidency in 2023.
Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of OZCOJ, Ambassador Ikenna Onuoha, said that Orlu people were happy that one of their sons represented them very well as governor of Imo, and by being a worthy ambassador of the zone.

…Tasks Politicians on Peaceful Campaigns
…Says NDDC dong nothing about Niger Delta devt
By Samuel Oyadongha
BAYELSA State Governor, Hon Seriake Dickson, has called on the youths not to be misled by criminals and cultists masquerading as politicians in the state.
Governor Dickson
Nigeria laying foundation for transformation of tourism – FG tells D-8
Dickson said that the sole motivation of such unscrupulous characters was to destabilize and subvert the achievements of his administration in the past seven years.
Dickson made the comment during a live radio media chat in Yenagoa, on Thursday night.
The governor advised politicians not to overheat the polity, as they go about their campaigns insisting that people should be free to campaign and vote candidates of their choice.
He said Bayelsa was one of the safest and most stable in the country as a result of the huge investments his administration made in the security sector of the state.
He also appealed to parents and guardians to be more committed to monitoring and observing the behaviour and activities of their wards as the government intensified the campaign against the scourge of cultism and drug abuse.
The governor who commended the security services for their determination and commitment to the safety and well-being of the citizenry, called on leaders at all levels to promote peaceful coexistence.
He ascribed the frequent change of Police Commissioners in the state to a sinister plot by the leadership of the opposition party in the state who want someone who will protect them and cover up their activities.
Dickson stressed that while it was not within his constitutional powers to determine who get posted to his state, it was his responsibility to ensure that things were done properly to secure the state.
The governor said the recent signing of the law, amending the Community Safety and Vigilante Corps would create increased opportunity for the citizens to participate more effectively in the security of their state.
He equally noted that, his administration had taken deliberate steps to stabilize the state through infrastructure and human capacity development in the past seven years.
His words: “Bayelsa remains one of the safest and most stable states in this region and in Nigeria. This is as a result of a lot of factors and measures put in place by this administration. The leadership of this state has shown maturity in how we have been managing things, even matters that are provocative.
“I want to commend the people of Bayelsa for their peaceful disposition and commitment to peace and order.

Nicki Minaj's new man killed a man in cold blood. He walked up to his victim on a street corner and shot him dead

At least that's what TMZ is claiming. Read their report below...Nicki Minaj's new boyfriend wasn't just convicted of attempted rape -- he also went to prison for killing a guy ... and now we know the story behind his manslaughter conviction. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Nicki's new man, Kenneth Petty, rolled up on Lamont Robinson one early morning in April 2002 and opened fire on him on a street corner in Queens, NY.We're told Petty drove to the crime scene with a group of cohorts, hopped out of the car, walked across the street where Robinson was hanging out, pulled out a gun ... and shot him in the stomach 3 times. Our sources say he then fled in the vehicle with the group. We're told police who investigated the crime at the time did not believe robbery was a motive -- they suspected it to be a targeted hit over a gang beef. One investigator who was on the OG case told us he could only recall the shooting was over some "bulls***."According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Lamont -- who only survived for a short time -- ID'd Kenneth in a photo lineup when police went to question him in the hospital. The docs say he nodded his head to confirm Kenneth had shot him, as he couldn't speak. He died soon afterward.Kenneth was initially charged with 2nd-degree murder, but pled guilty to a lesser charge of 1st-degree manslaughter. He served 7 years in prison, and got released in 2013.

While ritualists steal female pants in Nigeria, this UK model sells her own worn pants and makes N28m a year

While ritualist steal female pants in Nigeria, this UK model sells her own wornpants andmakes N28m a yearA woman identified as Raven Nix, 33, from Bristol has revealed how she earns £60,000 a year selling her worn underwear and socks and uses the money to look after stray cats who visit her home.   According to a report by DailyMail, she sells worn knickers for £20 a time and also cashes in by selling pots of urine and raunchy videos to strangers online. She also makes cash from 'money slaves', who deposit cash in her account for no reason and enjoy the humiliation of being ignored by her.   The animal lover, who once sold two thongs for £250, said that rather than splashing out on a lavish lifestyle she uses the money to pay for vet's bills and pet food as she can't resist helping stray cats.Raven said: 'before I did this if there was an animal that needed me I'd have to think about whether I could afford it then I found out I could sell my underwear. I've got four cats that live in my house, another that lives outside and there are feral ones that come round so I can feed them. There are 11 in total that come to get fed. I've also got a bunny.  'I just take them in. I live on my own and I love them. I'm a real cat lady. I can't resist helping an animal if I see that it's in need.My wages from my job go on my rent and a lot of the money I make doing this goes towards my cats.  'I'd done some modelling before and had 94,000 likes on my fan page and people started inboxing me with requests. That was four or five years ago.'  And her family and partner aren't bothered about it either,' My aunty thinks it's a brilliant way to make money and my fella is fine with it. He says if someone wanted to pay for his boxers he'd definitely do it.'  Explaining how she got started with her enterprise, she said: 'Someone messaged me asking if they could buy a pair of knickers. I thought 'that's disgusting' but then I spoke to a friend who said there was a market for it. I thought this could be something I could do. 'It went from there. I sold a dirty thong for £20 and lots more inboxed me with requests. I bulk buy them from supermarkets, £8 for five pairs, and wear them. Some people have particular requests. I once sold two thongs for £250. He wanted me to wear them for a week. I showered but would put them on for an hour here and there. It makes you wonder what they do with them.'After more requests Raven started selling her dirty socks setting up a social media account dedicated to her feet.

US Department of Justice arrests Kwams son, 8 others over $2m fraud in Chicago

US Department of Justice arrestsKwam1s son, 8 others over $2m fraud in ChicagoSultan Anifowose, the son of veteran Fuji musician, Kwam 1, has been arrested in the U.S along with 8 others as part of an international investigation into online “romance scams” and “mystery shopper” schemes that made victims lose at least $2 million over the past two years. Below is how the US Department of Justice reported the arrest on its official website: Seven Chicago-area residents are among nine individuals arrested in the United States and Nigeria as part of an international investigation into online “romance scams” and “mystery shopper” schemes.During the Chicago-based investigation, dubbed “Operation Gold Phish,” law enforcement identified a variety of cyber-enabled fraud schemes allegedly carried out by conspirators in the U.S. and Nigeria.  One of the alleged schemes involved “romance scams,” in which a conspirator builds trust with a victim through a purported online romance before convincing the victim to send money to a predetermined recipient.  The conspirators initially contacted victims online via applications and websites, including Match.com, Facebook, and Instagram, the complaint states.  Another alleged cyber-enabled fraud involved a “mystery shopper” scheme, in which conspirators fraudulently offered victims opportunities to work as a mystery shopper and receive commissions for evaluating retailers.  The victim received a check through the U.S. mail with instructions to deposit it in a personal bank account, withdraw the money in cash, and wire it to a third party.  The check turned out to be fake, and the victims were defrauded of the wired money, the charges allege.A criminal complaint filed Dec. 4, 2018, in U.S. District Court in Chicago charged nine defendants with conspiracy to commit wire fraud.  Arrests were recently carried out in Illinois, Texas, and Nigeria, and all of the defendants are now in law enforcement custody.  The Nigerian Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is conducting a related investigation of other individuals in Nigeria. The U.S. charges were announced by John R. Lausch, Jr., United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois; Jeffrey S. Sallet, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and Craig Goldberg, Inspector-in-Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Chicago.  Valuable assistance was provided by the Nigerian Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.  Assistant U.S. Attorneys Peter S. Salib and Charles W. Mulaney represent the government.Arrested on the U.S. charges in Illinois were DANIEL SAMUEL ETA, also known as “Captain” and “Etaoko,” 35, of Skokie; BABATUNDE LADEHINDE LABIYI, also known as “Junior,” 20, of Chicago; BARNABAS OGHENERUKEVWE EDJIEH, 29, of Chicago; SULTAN OMOGBADEBO ANIFOWOSHE, also known as “Ayinde,” 26, of Chicago; BABATUNDE IBRAHEEM AKARIGIDI, also known as “AK,” 39, of Chicago; MIRACLE AYOKUNLE OKUNOLA, 21, of Chicago; and OLUROTIMI AKITUNDE IDOWU, also known as “Idol,” 55, of Chicago.  Arrested in Texas was ADEWALE ANTHONY ADEWUMI, 27, of Richardson, Texas.  Arrested in Nigeria was OLANIYI ADELEYE OGUNGBAIYE, also known as “DonChiChi,” 26, of Lagos, Nigeria. In addition to the romance and mystery shopper schemes, the complaint accuses the conspirators of engaging in various other cyber-enabled scams, including investment and employment frauds.  The conspirators also defrauded victims by targeting corporate email accounts, the complaint states.  In the email scam, known as a business email compromise, the conspirators fraudulently obtained usernames and passwords or sent “spoofing” email messages that claimed to be from a company employee, instructing the victim to change the wire instructions for bank payments.  Per the instructions given in the fraudulent emails, the victims unknowingly wired funds to bank accounts controlled by the conspirators that had been opened in fictitious names utilizing fake passports, the complaint states. The charge in the complaint carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.  If convicted, the Court must impose reasonable sentences under federal sentencing statutes and the advisory U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. The public is reminded that charges contain only accusations and are not evidence of guilt.  The defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial at which the government has the burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Outrage as white referee forces black wrestler to cut his dreadlocks or by forced to forfeit match(Video)There's an outrage online after a young black wrestler was forced to cut his dreadlocks before competing in a match in an incident that has raised questions about whether race was involved in the controversial decision. According to SNJ Today, Buena High School wrestler Andrew Johnson, who is black, was told by a white referee that he would have to cut off his dreadlocks or forfeit his Wednesday's match with his opponent from Oakcrest High School.  The publication reported that Johnson and his coaches initially protested the decision before the wrestler ultimately agreed to the quick haircut in a video posted by SNJ which has gone viral. According to the report, Johnson had intended to cover his dreadlocks with a hair cap, as is permitted by national and state rules, but was not allowed to do so.The referee has been identified as the same person who in 2016 offered to go through sensitivity training and an alcohol awareness program after he reportedly used the N-word toward another official, according to the Cherry Hill (N.J.) Courier-Post. In a statement released by Larry White, the executive director of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, he said the association will recommend that the "referee in question not be assigned to any event until this matter has been reviewed more thoroughly in order to avoid potential distractions for the competing wrestlers."Watch the video below.Epitome of a team player A referee wouldn't allow Andrew Johnson of Buena @brhschiefs to wrestle with a cover over his dreadlocks. I made more money from snatching cars than treating broken bones 25-year-old suspect says

A 25-year-old native doctor, Abudulahi Mudi, arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police  (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) from his hideout in Lokoja, Kogi State, has confessed that he makes more money from snatching cars than what he makes from treating broken bones. Mudi who was paraded alongside his accomplice, Christopher Ilia, a security guard attached to one of the headquarters of a ministry in Abuja, said he learnt the art of treating broken bones and treating pregnant women from his late father, but switched to snatching exotic cars so he can make fast money. He said himself and his team of four have stolen cars mostly in the Ikeja, Lekki and Surulere axis of Lagos state. “I am a native doctor and I treat people of stroke, broken bones and other illnesses. My father who is now late thought me the art and I have been doing it for a long time in Lokoja, Kogi State. In 2012, one of my friends based in Lagos invited me, and when we met, he introduced me to car snatching. He said the business would fetch me more money than treating people. I accepted then because I was a native doctor and I knew I could prepare charms that would prevent us from being arrested.“My friend then taught me how to drive after which we started removing people’s cars from parks. My friend had a master key we were using, and at night we will go to any crowded bar and night clubs where cars are parked by the road side. My friend would open two cars of his choice and we will both drive them out and take them to our buyer who is based in Lokoja.“We stole cars mainly around Surelere and Ikeja because traffic around those areas was too busy compared to other areas. We stole about 16 cars in Lagos before I was arrested when police trailed one of the cars to the receiver in Lokoja. The police then used the receiver to trick me and I was arrested. The receiver called and told me that he was in Lagos and he wanted to come and collect someone and I rushed to where he told me and I was arrested.“After I was arrested, the police asked me to call my friend, and when I did, he sensed danger and escaped. I was later charged to court and remanded in prison, but while in prison, I got news that my friend had been killed while he attempted to steal someone’s car in Lagos. I spent four years in prison because I couldn’t fulfill my bail conditions. I came out in 2016 and relocated to Abuja and started treating people again.“Early this year, Ilia came to me for treatment. He told me he had gonorrhea and I started treating him. In the process, we became friends and he told me that he lost his job as a security guard and that he wanted me to assist him. At that time, I had one of my car receivers calling me that he needed cheap cars. I told Ilia that we could make money if we could get them for him. Illa then suggested that we should get military uniform; which we did. We started stopping cars at bus stops at night. We will flag down any neat looking taxi and when we enter it will show the driver our toy gun and force him to stop the vehicle. We will collect all his money and zoom off with his vehicle. Then I will call our receiver who is at Ejule community in Ofa Local Government of Kogi State. We will hand over the vehicle to him. He pays us between N120,000 and N150,000 for each vehicle. The charm I prepared for protection was highly effective and it prevented the police from arresting us, but Illia was the person who got me into trouble again. I don’t know where he went to rob. He did not disclose the amount he stole, but he brought just the man’s car to me and asked me to prepare charms that will prevent the man from looking for him. He didn’t even give proper details about the operation. I accepted and kept the key in my shrine and before I knew what was happening he brought the police to my house and they arrested me.”On his part, 30-year-old Christopher Ilia, who is a native of Lokoja, alleged that his inability to secure a job led him into crime.“I became so desperate after I lost my job. I started robbing people of their phones. I went out very early in morning. I attacked people in broken down vehicles or those who are working alone. I threaten them with my gun,” he said. Both men are now in police detention and would be arraigned in court soon.

INEC says 14.5 million PVC of registered voters between 2017 and 2018 have been printed and ready for collection

INEC says14.5 million PVC of registered voters between 2017 and 2018 have been printed and ready for collectionThe Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) of all 14.5 million registered voters between 2017 and 2018 have been printed and ready for collection as well as all the PVCs of those who requested for replacement and relocation of their cards ahead of 2019 general elections, had also been printed and ready for collections.   Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), disclosed this on Friday in Abuja after the swearing-in of the new Secretary to the Commission, Mrs Rose Oriaran-Anthony.”The commission has printed all PVCs for new registrants between April 27, 2017 and August 31, 2018. We have also printed all the requests for replacement of lost cards, all requests for transfer and relocations. The last batch that we printed are for those who applied for transfer and relocation, and those who applied for replacement of damaged and defaced cards. This will be delivered immediately after the Christmas break. So we are happy to say that all 14.5 million or so new registered voters have their cards printed and delivered to the states. So we are good to go on that,” Yakubu said.  Yakubu, who also spoke on the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and its implications on the 2019 general elections, said that the commission would meet with union leaders in tertiary institutions for a way forward.   The INEC Chairman said that the ongoing strike was worrisome as the commission also sourced some of its election ad hoc staff from the tertiary institutions.”The bulk of the ad hoc staff will be drawn from the National Youth Service Corps members but where there is shortfall, and obviously there would be shortfall, we rely on the universities.Remember we also rely on the universities to draw our collation and returning officers. So the ongoing strike is worrisome in case some of them say because of the ongoing strike they will not participate in the elections. But the ASUU has been good friend of the commission and we intend to meet with the President of the ASUU next week so that we can discuss and iron this out. We will also extend it to the lecturers of polytechnics and colleges of education so that we will meet with the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) and all other unions in the tertiary education sub-sectors,” the chairman said.

US government partially shuts down for the third time in a year after congress failed to reach a funding deal for the border wall

US governmentpartially shuts downfor the third time in a year after congress failed to reach a funding deal for the border wallParts of the United States federal government shut down at midnight after Congress and the White House failed to reach a deal on Friday night to avert the shuttering of several departments.   Both the US House of Representatives and the Senate adjourned after Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, said there would not be a vote Friday night in the Senate. Funding for roughly a quarter of the federal government then expired at midnight, including appropriations for the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, Housing and Urban Development, and other parts of the government. This is the first time in 40 years that the government has been closed three times in a year. However, before they adjourned for the night, the Senate passed a bill to ensure federal employees who are furloughed get back pay. It was passed by unanimous consent, but still will need to pass the House.

Nigeria’s Oil, Gas Earnings Slumped To $17.05bn In 2016, Lowest In 10 Years

edwin-clark.jpg
Yearly average price of crude oil per barrel was $43.73 in 2016 as against $52.5 in 2015. Total oil production in 2016 was 659 million barrels as against 776 million barrels produced in 2015,
File Photo
The total financial flows from Nigeria’s oil and gas sector slumped to $17.05 billion in 2016, representing a 31 per cent decline when compared to $24.79 billion in 2015, and a 75 percent plunge on the sector’s peak earnings of $68.44 billion generated in 2011.
The figures are contained in the latest report of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) released on Friday in Abuja.
Analysis of the report showed that the $17.05 billion earned in 2016 is the lowest in ten years and the fifth lowest in the 18 years covered by NEITI’s audit reports so far (1999 to 2016).
According to the report titled ‘NEITI 2016 Oil and Gas Industry Audit Report’, the plunge in revenue in 2016 resulted from the double whammy of low oil prices in the global market and reduced oil production in Nigeria, which in turn was caused by disruption and vandalism of oil assets and spike in crude theft, among others.
Yearly average price of crude oil per barrel was $43.73 in 2016 as against $52.5 in 2015. Total oil production in 2016 was 659 million barrels as against 776 million barrels produced in 2015, a fall of 15 percent.
According to the report, details of which were explained by NEITI’s spokesman, Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, the losses due to crude oil theft and sabotage rose from 27 million barrels in 2015 to 101 million barrels in 2016, representing an increase of 274 percent. This was aside losses due to deferment, which in 2016 was put at 144 million barrels which also went up by 65 percent when compared to the 87.5 million barrels in 2015.
“The bombing of the under-water 48-inch Forcados Oil Loading/Export Pipeline was one of many major occurrences that befell the industry in the year under review.
“This incident occurred in February 2016 and the line remained not operational for seven months,” the NEITI report stated.
The report noted that after surviving the slump in the global oil market in 2008 and 2009, Nigeria’s oil sector rebounded in 2010 with a 49 percent increase in total financial flows to $44.94 billion, followed by the peak of $68.44 billion in 2011.
However, flows from the sector have been trending downward since that peak year with $62.94 billion generated in 2012, $58.08 billion in 2013, $54.56 billion in 2014, and $24.79 billion in 2015.
Similarly, oil production has been on steady decline with 866 million barrels produced in 2012, 800 million barrels in 2013, 798 million barrels in 2014, 776 million barrels in 2015 and 659 million barrels in 2016.
NEITI’s audit reports independently reconcile payments by companies against receipts by government agencies, and cover key financial flows such as earnings from sale of Federation’s crude oil and gas, sector-specific taxes, fees and levies such as royalty, Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), signature bonus, gas flared penalty, and other flows such as NDDC contribution, NCDMB levy, NESS fees, education tax and others.
The breakdown of the payment showed that the major earnings for 2016 came from export and domestic sale of the Federation crude oil and gas with $7.97 billion, PPT with $4.21 billion, and royalty oil with $1.57 billion.
A major highlight of 2016, according to the report, was that for the first time in Nigeria’s history, crude oil produced from Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) overtook output from the Joint Ventures (JVs).
“In 2016, PSCs accounted for 324 million barrels, while the JVs accounted for 289.1 million barrels, (as against the 320 million barrels for PSCs and 375.5 million barrels for JVs in 2015).
“PSCs, a production arrangement introduced in 1993, thus became the leading production arrangement in 2016. The PSCs are mostly offshore, thus insulated from vandalism and sabotage, and are not constrained by adequacy/availability of equity funding by the Federation.
“This change in production structure pushes to the fore the need to renegotiate the terms of the PSCs as stipulated in the Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contracts Act of 1993 so as to increase government’s take.
The 2016 NEITI report covered 84 entities, comprising the following: ten government agencies, seven power generating companies, 62 oil and gas companies, three refineries, and the NLNG and NGC.

This is the ever busy Warri Sapele road, main market axis. People are forced to trek long distances, leaving their cars, keke and bikes at military blockades.
Other roads like Airport road, Osubi road, Deco road, Robert road, Avenue etc were also affected.
How can you shutdown an entire town for a whole day without prior notice or alternative route for road users just because a seating VP is visiting.
If you are not good at trekking and you leave within Warri and its environs, take my advice, better seat at home. Otherwise, you go trek belle full. As I dey type this message, my eyes don see my ears’.

LAGOS— ORGANISED Labour, yesterday, issued a December 31
deadline to the Federal Government to send a draft bill on the new
national minimum wage to the National Assembly for passage into
law to avoid a nationwide strike in the new year.
At a national leadership meeting of leaders of Nigeria Labour
Congress, NLC, Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, and United
Labour Congress of Nigeria, ULC, held in Lagos, the Organised Labour
also rejected the Federal Government’s plan to set up another
high-powered Technical Committee on the new minimum wage,
describing it as “diversionary and delay tactics.”
In a communiqué signed Ayuba Wabba, Bobboi Kaigama and Joe
Ajaero, President of NLC, TUC and ULC, respectively, they
threatened a nationwide strike from January 2, 2019, should the
Federal Government fail to send the a draft bill on the new
national minimum wage to NASS before December 31, 2018.
Reading the communiqué on behalf of the three Labour Centres,
Wabba said: “almost two months of the submission of the report
of the National Minimum Wage Tripartite Committee’s report
which included a draft bill, no bill has been submitted to the
National Assembly for passage into law.
The Federal Government is planning to set up a high-powered
Technical Committee which is alien to the tripartite process and
International Labour Organization, ILO, conventions on National
Minimum Wage setting mechanism.
The National Minimum Wage Committee was both Technical and all-
encompassing in its compositions. The National Minimum Wage is not
only for public sector workers, but for all workers both private
and public.”
The communiqué reads: “Consequently, the meeting resolves as
follows that the Federal Government is expected to transmit the
New National Minimum Wage Bill to the National Assembly on or
before December 31, 2018.
“We reject in its entirety the plan by the federal government to
set up another high-powered technical Committee on the new
national minimum wage. It is diversionary and a delay tactics.
“Nigerian workers are urged to be vigilant and prepared to
campaign and vote against candidates and Political Parties who are
not supportive of the implementation of the New National
Minimum Wage. Finally Organised Labour will not guarantee
industrial Peace and harmony if after the 31st of December 2018,
the Draft Bill is not transmitted to the National Assembly.”

Olamide, Lil Kesh in trouble over new single promoting money ritual

Olamide-Lil-Kesh.jpg
‘Logo Benz’ is the title of the song currently trending on social media for all the wrong reasons.
Nigerians expressed their displeasure on their different social media accounts shortly after the release of the song.
@Isimaodeh wrote “This Olamide and Lil Kesh song is painful to listen to. A song that glorifies rituals, internet fraud and blood money.
@Officialdaddymo , on the other hand, stated that “Why is the new Lil Kesh and Olamide song promoting and glorifying ritual killings and blood money?
“Why must you use terrible lyrics like this, ‘If money no enter I go do blood money’.
“There needs to be a line that you can’t cross when it comes to lyrics in music. This is one of them.”
@jajaPhd said “Music is usually a reflection of the society from which it originates at the time it is produced.
“So, Olamide and Lil Kesh are just producing music that reflects our society at this point in time just as Fela’s music in Fela’s time.”
@Bhadosky said “If money no enter I go do blood money.
“I have been shouting for years but people seem unbothered.
“Can we all come together and tell Olamide and Lil Kesh that enough is enough.”
Some Nigerian twitter users have called for the song to be banned while others are threatening to boycott Olamide’s upcoming concert in Lagos, ‘OLIC,’ with emphasis on the effects the song could have on children.
@peterrock wrote “I can’t wait for the government and in fact I hope the government bans Olamide ft lil kesh’s stupid song as soon as possible.
“Olamide is a cancer to the Nigerian music industry and youths in general.”
@royzkingin wrote, “At this moment, Olamide and Lil kesh are toxic to the music industry.”
@tamiromeo said “Olamide is cancelled” shouldn’t end here, If you really mean it, simply don’t show up for OLIC.
“He and his mafia should enjoy their blood money alone.”
@voiceofsanity said, “This Logo Benz song is enough a reason for Nigerians not to grace his OLIC this weekend.”
@xotie also said “You guys should boycott OLIC.
“We need to send a message to Olamide, this new song is so sad.
“There are families that have lost loved ones to rituals.”
Many would recall that Olamide had to recently respond to criticisms from fans for promoting social vices in his single ‘science student’.
This latest criticism is coming a few days to his annual concert, ‘OLIC,’ scheduled for Dec. 23 at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
