Drug dealers beat a woman and her dad mercilessly after a package of Indian hemp they kept on her farmland went missing in Ondo State
Suspected Indian hemp dealers at Ogbese in the Akure North Local
Government Area of Ondo State have allegedly beaten up a woman,
identified as Martina Christopher, her father and brother to a pulp over
the disappearance of bags of cannabis kept on the victims’ farmland.
According to reports, the Indian hemp dealers, numbering about 40, had
last Thursday invaded Martina’s farmland, located at Bolorunduro
village in the council area, to search for some bags of the cannabis
earlier kept on the farm. They were said to have met Martina’s brother,
Isaac Akpan, working in the farm. As the dealers could not find the
bags of cannabis, it was gathered that they accused Isaac of stealing
the product and thereafter tortured him before taking him away. Having
received the news of the incident, Martina and her father, Joseph Akpan,
were said to have traced the hoodlums to Ilu-Abo community in order to
rescue Isaac, but they too were beaten up by the alleged hemp dealers.
Narrating her ordeal, Martina said, “I went to the farm very late on
the fateful day to join my husband and brother on the farm, because we
had left the farm unattended to for some days. I met these people, about
40 of them on 15 motorcycles, then I saw my brother, who had been
beaten and injured, sandwiched between some of the hoodlums on one of
the motorcycles;I had to turn back and later, I was told that he had
been taken to Ilu-Abo. I then went to Ilu-Abo in company with our
father, only to see my brother mercilessly beaten and injured; and
immediately the hoodlums saw us, they descended on us and beat me and my
father to a pulp, demanding to know the whereabouts of the bags of
Indian hemp kept on our farm.My father fainted and as I tried to touch
him, they gave me a machete cut, while some of them beat me with sticks
and I also fainted, because I had lost a lot of blood.” She explained
that the hoodlums threatened to wipe out the entire family if they
failed to produce the missing bags of Indian hemp, adding that the
hoodlums bragged that no security operatives could arrest them. Husband
of the victim, Augustine Christopher, said he had to report the case at
the Area Command in Oba Ile, Akure, following the threat to wipe out his
family. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Femi
Joseph, confirmed the incident in a chat with Punch and said the command
had made some arrests over the matter. “The Commissioner of Police,
Mr Gbenga Adeyanju, has ordered that the matter should be transferred to
the State Criminal Investigation Department in Akure, while

throne and can be freer with his choices. Department of Petroleum Resources discovers 50 illegal filling stations in Akwa-Ibom state
The Eket office of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), says it
had discovered 50 illegal filling stations in the state. Tamunoiminabo
Kingsley-Sundaye, the Operations Controller of DPR in Akwa Ibom
explained that the illegal filling stations refused to obtain Federal
Government licenses nor follow due process in their construction. He
added that the filling stations were built without appropriate approval
by the department in the state. “There are 50 illegal filling stations
in the state. We have come to a point in this country where people have
decided to do things that are wrong. When I resume a year ago, we
observed that there are some fuel stations that are built without
appropriate approvals from the department,” he said. He said that when
building filling stations, there are things that are considered such as
engineering design, safety, earth considerations and social economy of
the area. He condemned marketers that build filling stations that share
boundaries with markets, schools, hospitals, saying that such stations
would affect the economy of the area. He warned marketers that site
filling stations before coming to DPR for consideration to desist from
it. He said that the department had sensitised the marketers who are
involved to come to DPR office for reassessment and appropriate
documentation. “We have compiled those names and send them to the
Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) to take appropriate
actions,” he said. Kingsley-Sundaye said that the department was working
with law enforcement agencies and the state government to dismantle
illegal filling stations in the state. “We will work with the state
government to dismantle illegal filling stations in the state and the
department was working towards getting rid of those stations,”

depression and PSTD as a result of repeated sexual abuse by her uncle's
son. Taking to Facebook on November 22, Busisiwe, opened up for the
first time and narrated how her uncle's son had raped her vaginally and
anally from age 10, when she was in grade 4 to grade 6. She didn't tell
anyone because the young man threatened to kill her with Ratex (rat
poison) 
Ever
since the incident, Busisiwe had been struggling mentally and
emotionally and tried to take her own life several times. Read her story

shocked but hey I am tired of keeping this secret because it is making
me to be sick but here it goes My Name is Busisiwe Mhlongo and I am 24
years old... born in 1994/09/18 ♥... in 2004 I was staying at my Uncles

17/18 years at that time would call me to his room and rape me (I was 10
years old).. this started when I doing grade 4 until I was doing grade
6, around June because that’s when I had my periods for the first time
but he did Rape me Vaginally and anally. he did a lot of things that I
wouldn’t like to re-iterate here.. I stayed with someone who sexually
abused me and I didn’t tell anyone because he said he was going to kill
me with Ratex. I kept that secret until this year cause I was struggling
mentally and emotionally, Back in February I attempted to commit
suicide, overdosed pills-in April I overdosed pills again- In June I
starved myself hoping to die- in August I overdosed pills again- in
September I attempted to jump out my Res but the security saw me and I
couldn’t cause he said Jump I will catch you- in October I started
cutting myself from my hand to my elbow and if I feel like the razor
isn’t sharp enough I would get another one- I did it until it was beyond
my control and I was admitted and of course Psychiatry Ward was my
ward,stayed there for weeks and was diagnosed with depression and
PSTD....Generally if you know me- I am a Happy person and I love
everything about everyone, to be diagnosed with depression was heavy for
me and the medication is just too much. My mom and my other family
members are aware of this now that have done drastic things. I have
never got a call from my cousin say he is sorry. What he did to me was
damaging physically, emotionally and sexually. He robbed me my childhood
and virginity, I will never be able to know what it’s like to be a
child because of the things he did to me, he used a baby oil so that his
penis would go in, he would put baby inside me so I can be “wet for
him”. He did it for 3 years and he was never satisfied. I have been
struggling to even wake up in the morning and eat, let alone to trust a
man, I am struggling to believe that I will be fine because depression
is not a fly by night thing I am living with depression and
PSTD............. I have lost everything you can think of and if I win
this battle - it’s game over for my cousin! I am coming for everything
and I know this wil be a lot of drama but I am not going to protect a
rapist...

The Dallas woman who ended in a coma after she went to Mexico for a
cheap nose job procedure which wasn't successful, has now died.Real
estate agent Laura Avila's attorney Larry Friedman confirmed her death
to TMZ, saying: "She had the best of life in front of her until this
tragic, unfortunate and senseless death. So that her death is not in
