The All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, on Friday, suspended the senator representing Kaduna North, Suleiman Hunkuyi, over alleged anti-party activities.
According to the allegations brought against Hunkuyi, he was part of a parallel APC that opened an office of the party in the state.
The announcement suspending the federal lawmaker was made at an emergency meeting of the State Executive Committee of the party, which held at its state headquarters.The same faction also queried Governor Nasir el-Rufai and suspended three of his aides.
The acting Secretary of the APC, Yahaya Baba-Pate, who spoke to journalists shortly after the meeting, also said 27 other members of the party were suspended for dragging the party before the court.
Baba-Pate added that the SEC also agreed on a timetable for the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
