The 15th anniversary of the Greater Liberation City Church was held
Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the auditorium of the Church headquarters in
Ojodu, Lagos. Delivering a sermon in the fully seated auditorium, which
overflowed outside, with the theme ‘Remember’, the General Overseer of
the church, Pastor Chris Okafor said it was necessary for anyone to
remember where they are coming from Nigerians and others to know where
they are going, stressing that when God blesses a man, it was for him to
be humble. The erudite man of God recounted how God had brought him and
the ministry from very humble beginnings to the commanding heights they
were today; an experience that demands more humility from him, and in
remembering, knowing where he is going, and confident about it.Pastor
Okafor used the occasion to appreciate his parents who were also
present, remembering their labor of love in ensuring he had university
education, even though it was not convenient for them. He appreciated
them and blessed them as well as his three grown up daughters, jokingly
chipping in that he was soon going to become a young grandfather. The
event saw the hand of God moving very powerfully with many bounded by
the fetters of the devil delivered as the blind received their sight and
many possessed by demons freed.Highlight of the event was cutting of
the anniversary cake with his pastoral crew and other distinguished
visitors who h ad come from different parts of the world.
