South African President Jacob Zuma resigned. This comes after the ruling ANC party finally turned against him after nine years of corruption scandals, economic slowdown, and falling popularity.
The formal president in his addressed said he had come to the decision to resign as president.
President Muhammadu was one of those to salute Zuma’s decision.
He wrote;
I salute the leadership and statesmanship of former President Jacob Zuma, and wish him the best in his future endeavours.
